I think it's about time that Chuck and Blair get together and just be happy. They are the best couple ever! I honestly never get tried of Chuck saying "I am Chuck Bass"... anyone else wish they could be Mrs. Bass? Dan's chest hair... seriously gross!!! Juliette is about as annoying as Georgina Sparks seriously they need to go buh bye. What are you thinking about Eva?

My Quick FOTD

Didn't have much time to get ready, but even when I do, lately, this is pretty much the make-up I use: foundation, concealer, pressed powder, liner and blush (alternating brands and colors of course). I like keeping it simple, because 1. it's quicker to get out the door if I'm late and 2. it's easier not to mess up.

Ha, this picture is kind of unflattering, but rest assured, I don't have a beard.. :/
Foundation: Revlon Colorstay in shade 310
Concealer (under eyes): Coastal Scents Camo Quad in Medium
Pressed powder by Maybelline
Eyeliner: Rimmel Eyeshadow in Jet Black applied wet
Brows: Estee Lauder liner in black and Anastasia Brow Wax pencil
Highlight: MAC Dream Maker eyeshadow
Blush: Korres Zea Mays in Orange applied lightly

For the brow highlight I used MAC Dream Maker, then I noticed it's more of a gold frost (but still pretty- specially paired with this orange and gold blush!), so I think next time I'll be switching to MAC Shroom instead for daytime, and use this for evening looks.

A is for Apple

Every year since I was an itty bitty my mum and I would go to the orchard in the fall. Miller's Big Red has a fabulous orchard with many varieties of apples you can pick your own or buy already picked bags. You can also get any other apple treat imaginable or cider and donuts. It's not fall unless you spend an hour at the orchard on a brisk day filling your bag with amazing Michigan apples! My favorite kind of apple is the "Honey Crisp" this year it has been hard to come by though.

{Apples being pressed into cider.}

{Apple Cider. Real cider should always be refrigerated.}

{heaven!}

and what do you do with some of the apples that have been picked? Make apple crisp of course!!!
I started by peeling and chopping five apples. (I used honey crisp, jonamac and ida red)
*Note: to keep from browning I added a squirt of lemon juice.

I combined the chopped apples with a couple dashed of cinnamon, a couple tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour. Then I mixed well.

I spooned the mixture into my glass baking dish.

Next I combined two parts each of Quaker Old Fashioned Oats and brown sugar, with one part each of flour and butter. I mixed well with a spoon until the mixture was crumbly, and then topped the apples.
Note: my family cooks like Paula Dean, because of this mine is extremely unhealthy.
One stick of butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 cup oats. You get the picture.

30 minutes at 375.... and you have an amazing dessert!

What is your favorite apple recipe?!
