Gucci (part 2)

Frida Giannini can always be relied upon to come up with a good show, and this new collection of Gucci's is an intriguing mix of concepts and styles. Apparently, it's going to be a way cold season, for which global warming is presumably to blame, judging by the amount of fur trimming and near-Polar wear on display. Giannini even uses snow-glasses at some points, ensuring that if one is planning a South Pole trek, one absolutely has to look one's best. The scarves bring Tom Baker-era Dr Who to mind, which is no bad thing, and the man bags (de rigueur at Prada) are every bit as stylish as you'd expect, in another triumphant display of cutting-edge vision.
