Latest on Rihanna and Chris assault

TMZ cited the police report where Rihanna claims she's been abused before, US Weekly spills she had bruises on her neck as recently as December:

Brown -- who is currently being investigated by Los Angeles county prosecutors after Rihanna allegedly accused him of assaulting her the night before the Grammys -- always had a "volatile" relationship with the singer, an insider tells Us.A Rihanna confidant adds that bruises were clearly visible on the singer's neck in early December. Alarmed, "I asked is everything was OK with her and Chris," says the pal. "She told me, 'We broke up again.' I didn't pursue the issue further."

And then to make things WORSE, Chris Browns dad went and did an inteview with OK! Magazine. Seriously, the last thing you want is to be letting out secrets at a time like this. Here's what out lovely "dad of the moment" had to say:

"I never once raised my hand to his mother," Donnelle says. "It just never happened.""I believe that Chris is making these allegations because it is a way of not accepting responsibility of his own actions. Somebody has to be at fault, the scapegoat, and who else but me?" says Donnelle. "He blames me for taking his mom away from his dad, even though it didn't happen like that. Whatever issues he has, whether he thinks they come from me or not, he needs to get help for, get counseling."

Sounds good right? If only he'd left out this detail:

Donnelle, who is blind after accidentally shooting himself in the eye during an argument with Joyce Brown Hawkins, says Chris is blaming the wrong person.

However, in a 2007 interview, Chris told a different side of the story: "He
used to hit my mom... He made me terrified all the time, terrified like I had to
pee on myself," Chris revealed. "I remember one night he made her nose bleed. I
was crying and thinking, 'I'm just gonna go crazy on him one day...' I hate him
to this day."
