Kasper Harup-Hansen is a young Danish designer. After graduating from Denmark School of Design in 2005, he opened a concept fash store in Berlin, Germany. He soon presented his collections during the Berlin Fashion Week and in Copenhagen as well, then in Paris. His is one of the youngest labels in the Scandinavian fash scene. Kasper Harup-Hansen got involved in different high-end projetcs, for instance designing the new uniform jacket for the Danish Police. And he was recently invited to do a signature line for the British giant TOPMAN, the collection has been in selected stores (London, as well as in the brand new flagship store in NYC) for one month.
This black collection he named "Men : 5th Edit" is inspired by the Japanese way of combining a variety of items, held in a simple and clean look, with a strong binding to the Northern Europe design tradition. It's about volume, silhouette, craftsmanship and a tiny bit about feeling like Superman in the 1978 film by late Polish-French director Alexander Salkind. Made to be mixed and matched, the clothes of this season's édito kasper harup-hansen collection are also meant to be worn with anything one's heart desire and everything it doesn't.
Message personnel : Hey Kasper, as I told you some months ago on your Paris booth, I just love the black rope suspenders and the origami hoodie... Tillykke, du er en sand kunstner !
