TVXQ, an acronym for Tong Vfang Xien Qi (東方神起), is a South Korean boy band quintet formed in 2003. In South Korea, they are known as DBSG, short for Dong Bang Shin Gi (동방신기); they were later introduced in Japan as Tohoshinki (東方神起) in 2005. Their name means "The Rising Gods of the East".
Since their début, TVXQ has become one of the most popular singing groups in Asia. They released four albums in South Korea and four in Japan.
