Top model Bruno Santos grew up with three brothers and one sister in his native Brazil, and held many jobs since the age 12, including construction and farmwork. He had not considered modeling as a career, but in 2000, his then girlfriend, who was modeling at the time, introduced him to her agency. The agency agreed to pay for his expenses to try out in Europe, but Bruno was working full-time and didn't take the offer seriously. But the agency and his friends eventually changed Bruno's mind about modeling. He considers traveling around the world and experiencing different cultures as a positive point of modeling, especially when he met his secret crush Christina Aguilera at a Versace shoot. But considers traveling away from home and family as a downside.
