This season's collection confirms Lanvin's identity in men's fashion. It is the fusion of a certain military spirit and innovative, luxurious and high-performance fabrics, and reinvents the key pieces of the masculine wardrobe by personalizing details and stitching. The A-shaped silhouette is interpreted in a subtle palette. The wrap-around coats are taken in with a large pleat in the center of the back or either side of the front, the creases of which are transformed into pockets. In this collection, nothing is classical in the traditional sense of the word. Each piece is fitted with surprises. Often constructed from two fabrics, the jackets and ¾-length coats feature zig-zags and raw edges to appear as if two items of clothing had been sewn together. The shoulder line has been rounded thanks to a new sleeve shape in between kimono and raglan which emphasizes the dynamism of this silhouette, either fitted on the bust and wider in the pant, or vice-versa. The cut of the latter are reminiscent of sportswear and tracksuit pants. There is something very comfortable and warm in the refined choice of fabrics that are at once soft and dry to the touch.
