Goth is not dead. I would say the trend is even more en vogue with the recent advent of Rick Owens and Gareth Pugh. But Japanese designer Tatsuro Horikawa has been surfing the dark wave since the inception of his label in 2001, borrowing the arcane codes of fetishism, post-punk, deathrock, EBM, corpsepaint, macabre and dystopia from the gothic subculture. He creates a life style, combing art and communications with clothes. This season's collection if full of awesome pieces, mostly avant-garde as per usual, almost exclusively black (with a hint of blood), full coverage coats and heavy boots. Kudos .I'm loving it !
